Papermakers of Victoria – REWILDING Exhibition

A group show bringing new life to paper arts and reflecting on our relationship with the wild.

This exhibition is an invitation to let imagination run free. Rewilding calls on us to pay attention to the living world in all its intricate beauty; to encourage diversity, rethink conventions, and find new ways to coexist and collaborate. For papermakers, it’s a prompt to explore wild possibilities in paper arts.

Working with plant fibres, seaweed, recycled paper and other materials, the contributing artists display skill in numerous techniques from handmaking paper to momigami, joomchi, origami, pulp painting and casting, folding, cutting, sculpting, book binding, printing, eco-dyeing, weaving, collage and more… The possibilities are endlessly fascinating.
